Mara's Kaleidoscope- In a build that wants +All Skills, this amulet is a BiS offensive choice for the end game. Sandstorm Trek(Scarabshell Boots) - If you feel like you don't need more Magic Find, you can go with these Hammerdin defense-oriented classics.
Registration on Odealo is free and takes only about 30 seconds. Like defense - past certain point effect is diminishing, resists are simply cant be set about 95% (and its really not matter how you get here). Chance Guards (Chain Gloves) -These gloves offer up to 40% MF and a nice bonus to gold drop. my main point is holy shield is not to MAX it, i even said to aim for the block breakpoint levels for HS depending on your +skills. We're going to use Offensive Auras to take Blessed Hammer's damage to a whole new level. If you can afford one of these, go for it. question for you because you seem knowledgeable: -at my level, would you recommend i take less from the resist aura(s) and dump more into holy shield? With spirit it has insane resists. Thus, it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that It is the most popular build for season 1 of Diablo 2 Resurrected. The downside is, your Magic Find is going to suffer. Skin of the Vipermagi(Serpentskin Armor) - This budget Armor will take care of some of this build's basic needs - Skills, FCR, and Resistances. We recommend picking up Act 2 Defiance Mercenary for extra damage mitigation bonuses. a level 36 holy shield saves you 4 dex points of block vs a level 23 holy shield. i keep enigma on for ubers too. It depends somewhat on what you need. This powerful character uses Blessed Hammer's incredible damage output (with maxed synergies and enough +Skills, a single Hammer can easily deal 15+k damage) to easily farm in level 85 areas, even on "Players7" difficulty. I prefer Spirit however. All things being equal more defence always equals less chance to be hit. i have pretty gg gear with average rolls (enigma/hoto/anni/torch/5 pcomb) my combat skills are +22 and my holy shield is lvl 23 with 1 pt into it. Heart of the Oak(Runeword) - This amazing Runeword will not only significantly boost your Hammers' damage with its +3 Skills, but also provide you with a solid boost to all Resistances and pretty much eliminate any mana problems you might have had without it. as you can see though, level 20 holy shield is only 3% block lower then level 36. this 3% costs around 6 dex but you save 16 skill points. I got a 44 res gilded shield and I don't think I'll ever get better. Second smite damage was never a reason to push HS up (nor block chance if that matter) - each point of HS give +15% more defense. Enigma (Runeword) - This amazing Runewoird will take this build's mobility to a whole new level by giving you access to the Teleport skill. Splendor(Rune Word) - A nice and inexpensiveMagic Finding Shield Runeword that works surprisingly well on a Hammerdin. Raw damage go Hoz. I'm using a Vipers Magi which adds FCR to the chest so I'm using the HoZ. i would like to hear anyone who believes maxing HS is better route though for hammerdin. Thanks to Blessed Hammer's amazing damage output and the power of Holy Shield, Hammerdin has the ability to breeze through any type of content Diabo 2 Resurrected currently has to offer. a level 23 holy shield will get you plenty of defense. Also, we hope that you have found this guide useful and informative. Harlequin Crest(Shako) - This recommendation shouldn't surprise anyone. HOZ on that smiter thoooooo, 44 res vortex with 4os, take my str it's worth it.1, I see most ppl voted for hoz but if youbare trying to hit the bp for fcr a spirit with 35 fcr and 45 rez is superior, Nah HoZ is still the higher damage setup. I seen several youtube clip where min-max folks swap the gear during Ubers for that (and I am sorry, I am to old and to lazy for that ). It not only gives you two things you're looking for the most - +Skills and Faster Cast Rate, but also gives you quite a lot of health and mana. Angry ppl without 2/20 amulets and 2/20/2 helmets gonna downvote. Moreover, it offers a +40 Faster Cast Rate, which is amazing if you're trying to go for the 125 FCR breakpoint. P.S. So in this sense if you are happy where you are - dont change anything. If you are not adding to the equation open wounds with at least 40%CB you HAVE to push your resist cap high enough so with absorb gear you can more or less completely ignore incoming damage. Spirit every day of the week. If the question was "Which shield is the best to provide a lot of gearing options for a budget hammerdin" you would hit the nail on its head . I disagree, defense is pretty important for character in direct contact with monsters. Techincally its probably HoZ but if you have to ask in the first place you don't have the GG FCR gear you need to make it work. Magic Find is another stat you should stack as this is a Magic Finding build after all. Tarnhelm(Skull Cap) - If you're trying to build your Hammerdin as cheaply as possible, this lowly unique helmet might interest you. i would trade ~6 dex and a little less smite damage for that.
hola!!! It boasts enough Magic Find to compete with Lightning Sorc and the PitZerker when it comes to MF efficiency and comes out on top when it comes to survivability. highlords/ias jewel in helm keeps my ias at max regardless so i actually didnt put 1 point into salvation, and my merc has 95 light res at that point and can actually survive meph. The fcr and fhr from spirit are way too good and not having the fcr severely limits your other gear options. If you have any Build requests, please post them in the Comments section below. Partly because it synergizes with the Blessed Aim, partly because its damage scales with Concentration. not so much from what I see even Lo starting saturate market. -1/2 resist fire 1/2 resist fire, (10 into each was target) 1 point HS. using my grief PB and 1 point fanaticism i dont need any additional ias from equipment to hit max IAS. Below, we present you with our take on the End-Game Magic Finding Hammerdin build. +Skills are also extremely important as they will greatly increase your Damage output (Blessed Hammer and Concentration both benefit from them). Like defense - past certain point effect is diminishing.
in summary: if you have decent endgame gear, only 1 point in holy shield is necessary. Much easier to reach 125fcr bp, comes with massive FHR, and potentially very high resists. It gives you a lot of Resistances, +1 to All Skills, a lot of mana, vitality, and a high bonus to Faster Cast Rate. Blessed Hammer Paladin Magic Find Build for D2R. And still do 12k hammers, HoZ, because I have a HoZ and I don't have a 35 spirit in a 45 res sacred targe . I guess its matter of apples and oranges It will boost your offensive power by giving you +1 to all skills, increase your FCR by 10%, and make you a bit better at Magic Finding by giving you +20% MF. I am IT pro and main principle under we operate - if things are working - dont touch it :). -Holy shield has different breakpoints for adding 1% block, this is not affected by hard points. levels: 16/20/23/27/36 are some of the main breakpoints. Arachnid Mesh(Spiderweb Sash) - This offensively-oriented belt will boost your damage and Faster Cast Rate. Id keep you current setup rather change it just keep Dwarf Star on magic absorb + fire absorb (so it DOES lighting absorb too ). If you can't afford an Enigma, it might serve as a decent substitute (just keep in mind that your mobility and MF will suffer greatly). It's actually an amazing budget alternative to the Heart of the Oak. You just have to get the FCR from a 2/20 circlet and a 2/15+ Ammy instead. It gives half the Skills Shako does, but can potentially provide the same amount of Magic Find. Spirit Shield(Runeword) - As a Paladin, you can easily get a class-specific shield with 4 sockets which makes this Runeword an excellent choice. Even for a Hammerdin, a ST 45res provides a huge bonus to have a max block setup, gives 55% fhr for 86fhr (helps alot using a coa) + 35% fcr to reach 125 fcr too! He should be equipped with: This is the initial version of our Diablo 2 Resurrected HammerdinMagic Finding PaladinBuild, where we tried to include all of the important information on how to set up this character while keeping the guide as compact as possible. id rather go hoz for budget or get good spirit base and just get life tap from dracs with high ias. Next thing life tap proc - you got it from dracs, I prefer getting it from Exile (comes faster) and have 20% IAS in gloves as well. They are extremely rare, however, and their price is likely to scare you off even if you manage to find one for sale.
(1 point into fanaticism, redemption, salvation). So while in your case 1 point in HS might be enough for rest of the crowd situation is different. when i fight meph, i throw on resist lightning. Actually with an ideal setup you do want HoZ over Spirit. ive done: (I dont) - if so, just make sure you have HP high enough to avoid insta drop and offset lack of protection/absorb with drinking pots. Extra Health and Vitalityis always welcome as well, as it makes you a bit tankier. You havent mentioned thou what you are using for smiting but my guess would be Grief+G-Face+Gore Riders (Duress depending on how fast you want to take down ubers). You can hit max block and 125% FCR easily. If you take Magic Finding with this build seriously, Enigma is the only choice. Allow me to point here on couple problems. I think it depends on if you have Enigma but someone can correct me if I'm wrong. This nets you more total +skills than a Spirit setup. With the best gear, probably a HoZ but you'll be cycling from a HoZ and good spirit shield for awhile to hit FCR and optimal abilities. People saying hoz are smoking the good shit. A Magic/Rare Amulet with + Magic Find Affixes -Magic Amulets can have up to 50% MF and Rares can roll up to 35%. Are we mfing or trying to roflstomp baal ? Who tf uses HoZ on a Hammerdin? Also, we will be happy to receive constructive criticismthat will help us improve our future work, so don't hesitate to give us your feedback. They will not only boost your hit recovery but also give you some stats and enable you to run pretty much infinitely. While you are right in terms that once your defense goes above certain level (say 10k?) Just need an amn rune to build it! Month ago Ohm would be to much nowadays? FCR and Res then go spirit. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. (your lite res goes from 75 to 83, that means instead of you receiving 25% of lightning damage getting through, you are only getting hit with 17% instead.). This subreddit is for people who want to discuss Diablo 2 and Diablo II Resurrected. Moreover, it will increase your Skills and provide you with a scaling boost to Magic Find. When you are killing Ubers you weighting in a) speed of killing vs. b) ability to sustain incoming damage. Grief already have enough +damage to make smite with hammerdin easy. ive tested doing ubers only using resist lightning and concentration to see if i could save 1-2 skill points and not use fanaticism or salvation. Magefist(Light Gauntlets) -If you plan on achieving the 125% FCR breakpoint with this build, you pretty much have to use Magefists over Chance Guards. Traded an Um for a perfect Spirit Targe, absolutely love it. gores/gface/dracs provide all the life tap/cb/ow needed. or change any skill point allocation? It's also nice if you like gambling as 300% extra gold is quite a lot. i kill all 3 ubers in under a minute, grief is just too good for raw base damage. i use a spirit in a sacred targe. Spirit Shield is not only amazing in your weapon, but it is also amazing in your shields as well! From molecular biology here and I am agree Grief is ultimate weapon here and with it you dont need upping HOZ. Goldwrap (Heavy Belt) - The only real Magic Finding-oriented choice for the belt slot. Nagelring - Stacking two of these Rings can give you up to 60% extra Magic Find, which is very solid (especially when you lack MF from other slots). It not only increases your offensive power (+4 to Blessed Hammer in total! i just dont see the hype in exile i guess.
i never said 1 point Hs was the way to go, it just happens to work for me because i have so many +skills and pcombs. Sadly, MF is the only really useful stat a Hammerdin gets from it. Spirit Sword (Runeword) -Don't be fooled by this Runeword's low level requirement. Faster Cast Rate is a must-have for Hammerdin and you should get enough of it to make your Hammers and your Enigma better (the 75 FCR Breakpoint is a must, we'd say, but your ultimate goal should be achieving the 125 FCR Breakpoint). (16/20/23/27/36). What is considered the best shield to use on a Hammerdin? 45 res all Spirit Sacred Targe is the best shield for hammerdins. Spirit makes it way easier to hit 125 FCR which is equal to +2-3 all skills at high gear levels. Because of this, a Raven Frost is not necessary for this build. A Magic Ring with MF Affixes - Rings like these can have up to 50% MF, which is Best in Slot. these levels add 34/35/36/37/38% chance to block. There is a simple test put low def armor on Merc with rest (FHR/CB/IAS/LL) same and see how well merc will be surviving. I definitely see rising demand for Sur and wonder what is driving it? Lastly you have a lot PCombs thus you are a lot less dependent on +skills on the gear. i have enigma MP that i use for zero str build otherwise yes guardian angel is ez mode for max res. yeah speed of chewing last 15% will be notably slower but no need to be over paranoid about stacking resist just absorb. thats 2 points of dex you are saving vs 9 skill points. If your going for max block build, it's easier to hit 75% using less points in dex with a HoZ. -currently 1 point HS(hitting level 23 block breakpoint) and rest into resist lite. I wanted to post this after seeing so many builds putting so many points into holy shield. Real reason why Spirit helps more than expect because it does have Magic Absorb (and so is Dwarf Star) unlike specific absorb for fire/cold/lighting magic absorb work on everything, Between Dwarf + Spirit (or 2) you are at 17-20 magic absorb that hell a lot toss here lighting absorb from T-Gods and if you want to be paranoid wisp protector and you can stay all day long with 75LR on the path of lighting. Breakpoints people breakpoints. War Traveler (Battle Boots) -These boots are a staple of most Magic Finding builds as there's no real alternative. Its not your defence that stops you getting hit, its the difference between your defence and the enemy attack, and also mlvl vs clvl. From this tree, we'll get some utility and one of the Blessed Hammer's Synergy Skills. I guess correct statement should be like this ), butit's also a great defensive shield(high enhanced defense, high chance to block, very high all resistance bonus, and vitality).
You already have Grief - back in my times we usually used elite version of HOZ or Exile Eth Vortex to punch through last 15%, Next thing is really up to you - are you not mind to drink pots? (outside of mass production PnB necros lol). Easier to come by/cheaper. i dont see the value in dumping points into holy shield to go from lvl 27 to 36 for an extra 1% block, which i see a lot of end game hammerdin builds just say dump extra points here. Press J to jump to the feed. HoZ will result in a bit more damage, but requires a good circlet, ammy, and ring for it to compete. If not, get a nice offensive amulet or try to craft one yourself. i agree with your last statement that you need 75% max block. i dont think you really disagreed with me anywhere?
you should aim for one of these breakpoints based on +skill gear. -pure holy shield The Stone of Jordan- If you're interested in damage more than Magic Find, double Stone of Jordan is the way to go. Plus hammerdins are so stupid strong you can sacrifice some damage for more mf in a shako, i would use hoz for a smiter and spirit for hammer. Note: Being frozen does not affect your Cast Rate which means that you remain 100% combat effective with this build, even when enemies freeze you (both the Enigma's Teleport and the Blessed Hammer are considered spells). The reason Spirit is so common/recommended is because the ideal setup requires some insanely rare gear (mainly the 2/20 circlet and the 2/15+ ammy) to still hit the 125 fcr breakpoint that is so easy to reach with Spirit, I sold one of these for an Um a few weeks ago and I might be regretting not keeping it for a Hammerdin build, Right? If you're after the 125 FCR breakpoint, picking it upis a must.
I found a +30 all resistances shield in my first normal run through and used larzuk to add four sockets. Call to Arms(Rune Word) - This powerful Runeword will allow you to pre-buff yourself up with Warcries (buffs persist through weapon swap). I have level 97 hammerdin that i gear swap for ubers and wanted to report my findings after about 5 respecs. exile is not worth the ohm/ist+cost of the base for just a weapon swap to use on ubers. assuming you have end game gg gear w/ lots of pcombs, isnt 1 point holy shield the most efficient? i swap to gface/gores/grief/dwarf/dracs/tgods/dungos when doing ubers. Hammerdin to do Ubers need to have HS to the point of 75% block chance, defense after HS active at least 10-12k anything above that mark will have minimal effect for your survival chances and killing speed, thanks for the input. imo maximum efficiency also means in cost. From them, you'll get up to 50% MF, unlimited running (thanks to slower stamina drain), and 25% Faster Run/Walk. cual seria el IAS recomendado para un pala smith? -Defense is not very important compared to your %chance to block/FCR/Resis/FHR. Faster Hit Recovery, Faster Run/Walk, and extra Stamina/Stamina Regen are also very useful to have. Spirit. It provides a great combination of offensive (+2 to all skills) and defensive (+20-30 to all resistances) properties. If we've missed something of importance, please let us know! If you want to go along min-max road - in D2 most things do have efficiency cap. What you looking for is maximum efficiency. Its main downside is that it's not really tailored for maximum block builds - your defenses will suffer if you decide to use it. decent smiter gear will push your defense to that level regardless with holy shield. -level 27 holy shield (so couple hard points), rest into resist light Overall, this is the best shield in the game but it's only available to Paladins - luckily for you, you're one. So back to your questions pure imo what you want to have here - maximum attack speed with shield at least 40% CB at least some OW (15% works just as good as 50% here) - this 2 things will cut Ubers down to 85% in no time. Herald of Zakarum(Gilded Shield) -The bonuses this shield provides are unbelievably strong. Last element - offsetting Meph conviction like I said I am old and I am lazy - salvation! Shako is simply amazing and if you're after Magic Find and Skill Levels, there's no better alternative. if you put those 16 points into resist lightning it would lower lightning damage by 32%.
